Octobers are one of my favorite months, when the evenings are cool and it’s time to pull out more quilts and long-sleeved pajamas. The spider lilies in the fields add a cheerful, warm red note to our surroundings, and the leaves are fading. It’s time to put up firewood and cook nabe and pumpkin muffins.. 🍲
